Razer Blade 16 Pre-Orders Go Live Leave a comment

Razer has opened pre-orders for its 2025 Blade 16 gaming laptop, unveiled at CES in January, positioning it as a high-performance portable system with desktop-grade specs. Starting at $2,800, the ultra-thin device (0.59–0.69 inches thick) pairs AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 Strix Point processors with NVIDIA’s RTX 50 Series GPUs, leveraging a hybrid GPU system to toggle between efficiency and performance.

The base model includes a Ryzen AI 9 365 CPU, RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 32GB of LPDDR5x-8000 RAM, and a 1TB SSD. Top-tier configurations max out at $4,600 with a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370, RTX 5090, 64GB RAM, and 4TB storage. Notably, RAM is soldered, limiting post-purchase upgrades, though dual PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots allow SSD expansion.

All variants feature a 16-inch 2560×1600 OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate, six speakers, a 1080p IR webcam, and a per-key RGB keyboard. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, two USB4 Type-C ports, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, HDMI 2.1, a microSD reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack. The 90Wh battery pairs with a 200W adapter, supporting the laptop’s 4.71-pound chassis.

In related news, Razer has also launched the Blade 18 (2025), its most powerful laptop yet. It features an 18-inch dual-mode display (UHD+ 240Hz / FHD+ 440Hz), an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor, and an RTX 5090 GPU. It starts at $4,499 for the top configuration (32GB RAM, 2TB SSD). Pre-orders are live on Razer’s website.
