GMKtec EVO-X2
GMKtec has had a busy few months when it comes to introducing new mini-PCs. For example, it has been selling the K10, K11, and EVO-X1 since December. Now, GMKtec has unveiled the EVO-X2, albeit only in China so far.
GMKtec has not revealed what the EVO-X2 looks like yet. Instead, the company has teased its potential performance, which should be way beyond the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370-powered EVO-X1 (currently $899 on Amazon).
Specifically, the EVO-X2 leverages the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 from AMD’s Strix Halo architecture, just like the Asus ROG Flow Z13 (2025), the HP ZBook Ultra 14 G1a and Framework Desktop. As a result, GMKtec’s latest mini-PC will have 16 CPU cores based on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture. GMKtec will offer its new mini-PC with the Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 395, although this only adds support for EEC RAM.
To that end, both APU variants will be capable of up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8,000 MT/s paired with PCIe 4.0 storage. Moreover, the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 contains a Radeon 8060S iGPU and its 40 Compute Units (RDNA 3.5). Unfortunately, GMKtec has not outlined pricing or availability anywhere yet.
