Asus has just unveiled its latest high-performance gaming monitor, the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG, in the Chinese market. This 26.5-inch powerhouse features Samsung’s fourth-gen 4K QD-OLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate. Priced at 6,499 yuan (~$900) and launching on March 10, this display is designed for competitive gamers and content creators who demand top-tier visuals and ultra-smooth performance.
ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG Specs
The XG27UCDMG sports a 3840 x 2160 resolution QD-OLED panel, delivering ultra-sharp images, deep blacks, and vibrant colors with a 1.5 million:1 contrast ratio. Asus claims 99% DCI-P3 coverage with ΔE<2 accuracy, ensuring precise color reproduction. It also supports VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black and reaches a peak of 1,000 nits, making it one of the brightest OLED monitors on the market.
For performance, the monitor equips a blistering 0.03ms GTG response time and supports Adaptive Sync for both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia G-Sync. It also features Extreme Low Motion Blur (ELMB) for ultra-smooth gameplay with minimal ghosting. Asus introduces ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0, a brightness compensation algorithm that reduces flicker by up to 20%, addressing one of OLED’s biggest drawbacks.
To enhance longevity, the XG27UCDMG comes with OLED Care Pro, which includes Pixel Shift, Pixel Cleaning, and Border Detection to help prevent burn-in. It also sports the Neo Proximity Sensor, which detects when the user steps away and automatically dims or turns off the screen to extend panel lifespan.
Connectivity is robust, as the monitor features two HDMI 2.1 ports, DisplayPort 1.4 (DSC), a USB-C port with DP Alt Mode and 90W power delivery, a USB hub, and a headphone jack. The stand offers full adjustability, including 120mm height adjustment, +20° to -5° tilt, +45° to -45° swivel, and +90° to -90° pivot. It also supports 100x100mm VESA mounting for those who prefer an arm setup.
Asus equips the monitor with DisplayWidget Center, allowing users to tweak settings via software instead of relying on the OSD. It also comes with AI-powered gaming enhancements like AI Crosshair, AI Shadow Boost, and AI Visual, which optimize real-time display settings.
