HUAWEI has released its FreeBuds 6 wireless earbuds in China, alongside the Pura X foldable phone. The FreeBuds 6 has a new, lighter design, with each earbud weighing 4.9 grams and the charging case 40.3 grams. The earbuds are designed to fit comfortably, based on data from many ear shapes.

These earbuds use an 11mm dynamic driver and a micro-flat tweeter for sound. They can produce sounds from 14 Hz to 48 kHz. HUAWEI says this is the first semi-open earbud design with two sound units, supporting high-quality audio at 48 kHz/24-bit. The earbuds adjust sound based on how they fit in your ears.
Tuned by the Central Conservatory of Music, the FreeBuds 6 offer classical and balanced sound modes, plus head-tracking spatial audio. Bone conduction microphones and noise reduction handle 95 dB noise and 8m/s wind. Semi-open noise reduction minimizes background sounds.
Battery life reaches 36 hours with the charging case. A 5-minute charge provides 2.5 hours of playback. Smart charging extends battery life by 37%. Touch controls manage playback, calls, and volume. AI assistant Celia provides 21-language translation and real-time interpretation. Features include long-distance tracking and 50-meter precision finding. Bluetooth 5.2 ensures low-latency gaming and multi-device pairing. The FreeBuds 6 are IP54 water-resistant.
